Butter and Chive Popcorn

Ingredients:
½ cup popcorn kernels
½ stick butter
1 teaspoon chives

Equipment needed:
Air popper
Microwave safe bowl
Large serving bowl

Directions:
Air pop popcorn following manufacturer’s instructions. Place butter and chives in microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.  If butter does not completely melt stir butter until remaining butter melts. Drizzle melted butter and chives over the cooked popcorn. Serve.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Don’t have an air popper? No worries! Use microwave popcorn or make popcorn according to package directions using oil in a lidded Dutch oven.
  • Substitute chives with dill or garlic powder. Yum!
  • For cheesy goodness, butter popcorn then dust with ½ cheese packet from a box of Kraft® Macaroni & Cheese.  (Your kids will eventually forgive you and you can always use the elbow macaroni for another dish).
