½ cup popcorn kernels
½ stick butter
1 teaspoon chives
Microwave safe bowl
Large serving bowl
Air pop popcorn following manufacturer’s instructions. Place butter and chives in microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. If butter does not completely melt stir butter until remaining butter melts. Drizzle melted butter and chives over the cooked popcorn. Serve.
- Don’t have an air popper? No worries! Use microwave popcorn or make popcorn according to package directions using oil in a lidded Dutch oven.
- Substitute chives with dill or garlic powder. Yum!
- For cheesy goodness, butter popcorn then dust with ½ cheese packet from a box of Kraft® Macaroni & Cheese. (Your kids will eventually forgive you and you can always use the elbow macaroni for another dish).
