Pizza Bread

1 loaf Italian bread
8 oz. can Pastorelli® Pizza Sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

Your choice of toppings:
pepperoni, Italian sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, green bell peppers, onions, spinach, fresh basil or just plain cheese!

Equipment needed:
Aluminum sheet pan

Cut bread in half-length wise.  Place the crust side down on an aluminum sheet pan (to catch any cheese and sauce drippings).  Spoon pizza sauce on top of each slice. Top with mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings.  Toast in 400°F oven or on metal tray in a toaster oven until cheese is golden and bubbly (melted and lightly brown).

Try using toasted English muffins, garlic bread, pita bread or using different cheeses like cheddar, Monterey jack or pepper jack.
