Meatloaf

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef, 95% lean
1 large egg
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (basil, oregano, rosemary)
½ cup breadcrumbs (or oatmeal)
1 small onion, finely chopped or grated
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
PAM® Non-Stick Cooking Spray

Equipment needed:
Roasting pan, aluminum sheet pan or casserole dish

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray roasting pan with non-stick cooking spray. Place ground beef, egg, Italian seasoning, breadcrumbs, onion, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl.  Mix with your hands until ingredients are fully combined.  (Make sure you have removed all rings and that your hands are clean before handling meat). Do not over mix. Place meat mixture in roasting pan and shape into a loaf. Place uncovered roast pan in the oven at 350°F for 30 minutes or until the middle is no longer pink. Remove meatloaf from oven and place on a serving dish. Tent with aluminum foil and let rest for 10 minutes before carving. Serve.

Suggestions:

  • Serve with McCormick® Brown Gravy Mix and mashed potatoes.
  • Before cooking, top meatloaf with ketchup for a tangy tomato twist.
  • Don’t forget to put your rings back on!
